Aiming for Net Zero by 2030
At NEC, we recognise the impact of climate change and are committed to doing what we can to minimise the impact of global warming through the provision of sustainable products and services that meet society’s needs, enabling our customers to meet their commitments to the public. We have a focus on minimising the impact of climate change and have set a Net Zero 2030 target, minimising greenhouse gases through various initiatives under each objective set to meet its target.
We established our emissions baseline in the year ending 31 March 2020, and our journey to a greener future includes:
- Strong environmental management, with all UK sites accredited to ISO 14001
- Environmental Champions present in each of our sites and meeting quarterly
- Full supplier and customer engagement programme
- Environmental Steering Group to provide overall leadership and direction
