Running NEC Housing in our cloud helps Rotherham future proof its technology

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council went live with NEC Housing in November 2021. It’s hosted in the NEC Cloud including our ‘Service Wrap’ ensuring they’re always ready for what’s next.

Thriving neighbourhoods

Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council manages 21,000 homes, with ambitious plans to tackle homelessness and support vibrant communities. Having the insight they need to focus attention in the right place was a key driver behind their move to NEC Housing.

The first phase went live in November 2021, with the core system hosted in the NEC Cloud. Jacqueline Whitehead, Programme Manager for Adult Care, Housing & Public Health, explains why bringing the software and hosting together will keep them focused on the future:

Greater flexibility

Rotherham chose the hosted version of NEC Housing following a full competitive tender. They also included asset management tools and our mobile solution to help them reduce the number of systems in use, strengthen compliance and deliver savings. They’ll be going live with Risk Management and NEC Go-Mobile in the next phase of improvements.

Housing providers face new challenges all the time, and being able to respond quickly is key. The ‘open’ nature of NEC Housing, coupled with the hosting, gives the council more options for the future integrations if needed and the ability to make use of new functionality through the extensive Roadmap developments.
